Futsal (aka Futbol Sala) is a form of indoor 5-a-side which originated in Uruguay in 1930 by Prof. Juan Carlos Ceriani. Its popularity spread through South America and finally into Continental Europe & Asia. There are professional futsal leagues in Brasil, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Russia, Iran, Belgium & Japan.
Slough Borough Futsal Club has been recently created and aims to have a recreational and competitve side. The recreational aspect will allow players of all abilities and levels to come on a weekly basis and play futsal on a recreational basis. Whilst, on the competitive side players have the opportunity to be part of our representative team that will take part in competitive exhibition matches with our co-partners Kickers Futsal UK and other well known futsal clubs and participating in national and international futsal tournaments.
Also, we aim to help the community introducing Futsal to the local comunity, being this a sport that can be practised indoor we hope to take some youth of the street.
